“On my last album So Far From Home, I put GTR3 in the credits, because some people don’t believe that that sound is a virtual amp.”
Born in Argentina, Mariano moved to Brazil at age 14, and quickly became a highly acclaimed part of the contemporary Brazilian music scene, playing with such artists as Leo Gandelman, Gal Costa, Sergio Mendes, and Ivan Lins in the '80s and '90s. Ultimately, Torcuato went solo with a string of acclaimed guitar records, blending Latin, rock, blues, and Brazilian jazz.
Torcuato says, "GTR3 is really the best tool that I know of for recording guitar. Congratulations to Waves, because the sound is so real, and sounds incredible in all kinds of ways. I recorded with my D'Angelico, with my Strat, and with my 345 Les Paul, and I get the best tones I have recorded in years, very, very fast. Now I spend more time playing rather than looking for the right amp and the right mic for each song, and I can capture very spontaneous performances on my records. This is good, since the majority of guitarists are
intuitivos!”
