Guitarist  |  Jill Scott, P. Diddy, Destiny’s Child

"GTR is so incredible! They're the most realistic guitar tones I've ever used in a recording environment. From Rob Thomas to T-Pain, it works for every style of music you can imagine."

Writer, producer, guitarist Frank Romano earned his first industry accolade as a member of fellow-Clevelander Bootsy Collins’ funk band Freebass. As the son of two music teachers and a formal student of classical guitar, Romano learned to use his melodic genes as a catalyst that would transcend diverse music genres. With influences ranging from Kiss to Earth, Wind and Fire, his musical repertoire widened early, spawning a unique synthesis of old funk meets new beats and organic musicality.

Frank’s unique musical vision combination would allow Romano to tour with the likes of Mary J. Blige, Rob Thomas, Musiq Soulchild, and T-Pain. Romano’s session work credits are equally impressive, leaving his musical mark on albums from Destiny’s Child, Jill Scott, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Timberlake and Usher and many more. Having laid down such immediately recognizable signature licks such as Joe’s Ride Wit U ft. G-Unit and P. Diddy’s I Need a Girl pt. 2 and Musiq’s Half Crazy, Romano has earned his place in the pantheon of modern music.

As a pillar of ASCAP, he has achieved accolades for his work and continued support in the music community. In the studio and on tour, Romano continues to hone his multifaceted skills as a prolific contemporary music man.
